Two extensions, one loop: from the browser to the fix
Written up in November 2026 from our engineering log · 2 min read
By early November both extensions were public: Dr Urls Sync on the VS Code Marketplace and Open VSX, and Dr Urls — Capture on the Chrome Web Store. Together they close the loop the first commit was aiming at.
The loop
You capture what you see in Chrome — a full-page screenshot with its console errors, a screencast, a recorded flow, or an automated review of many pages. It is filed on the right site. Dr Urls Sync writes it into your repository as a task with the screenshot beside it; your coding agent fixes it; and the fix is checked in the browser again before the task is done.
Who sees a capture
Captures stay private to your team and to teams you share the site's roster with. As of 3 November, the site's owner — proven through Google Search Console — can also see captures of their own site, without the capturer's email address. A few days earlier, on 30 October, a security pass brought our known dependency vulnerabilities from 42 down to 5 and put a size limit on every request body.
