Record the screen and file it where the work is

Record a short clip of a bug, a feature or a walkthrough, and it lands on the site in your dashboard next to the screenshots and notes about the same pages.

Recordings that live next to the page they are about.

Sound familiar?

The problem

Screen recordings end up in chat threads and download folders, separated from the page and the task they were about.

Some bugs only make sense in motion

A flicker, a broken animation, a double submit — a screenshot cannot show it.

Recordings get lost in chat

The video that explained the bug is three threads back when someone finally fixes it.

A long recording is impossible to navigate

Nobody watches four minutes to find the ten seconds that matter.

How it works

3 steps, start to finish

  1. 1

    Start a screencast

Choose the screen, window or tab to record from the side panel.

  2. 2

    Show the problem

Record what happens. Recordings made during a test flow also carry chapters, one per step.

  3. 3

    Send it

The clip is filed against the matching site, where it plays in the dashboard with your notes.

What you get

  • A WebM clip on the right site, not in a chat thread
  • Chapters when it was recorded during a flow
  • The same fix-requested, fixed and verified status as a screenshot

Who it's for

  • QA & support

Show exactly what happened, once, in the right place.

  • Marketing

Tag a flow “marketing-asset” and every replay records a fresh clip.

  • Developers

Watch the failing step, not the whole session.

No surprises

Good to know

What it does not do, said up front.

  • Clips are size-capped so they fit the upload; record the moment that matters rather than a long session.
  • Recording uses Chrome's own screen picker, so you choose what is shared each time.

FAQ

Questions

Is audio recorded?

The clip is a screen recording. Dictated notes are separate: speech is turned into text in the browser and only the text is sent.

Can I use clips for marketing?

Yes. Tag a flow “marketing-asset” and the recorder is on by default for it, so every replay produces a fresh clip.
