VS Code extension · Dr Urls Sync for VS Code

Your audits and captures, inside your editor

Dr Urls Sync pulls audits, captures, screenshots and AI reviews into your workspace as markdown tasks a coding agent can work through — and closes the loop from the editor.

What the site needs and the code that fixes it, finally in the same place.

  • Free to install
  • VS Code Marketplace & Open VSX

Sound familiar?

The problem

What the site needs lives in a dashboard; the code that fixes it lives in the editor. Copying between the two is where tasks get lost.

The findings are in a dashboard, the fix is in the editor

Switching between them is where tasks get lost and context gets dropped.

A coding agent can't read your dashboard

So you paste screenshots and paraphrase findings, and hope it understands.

One problem, two hundred pages, two hundred tickets

“Missing meta description” per page buries the one template fix it really is.

What changes

Before and after Dr Urls Sync

Without it
With Dr Urls Sync
Findings copied from a dashboard into tickets
A .drurls folder synced into the repo
Screenshots pasted into the agent's chat
Task files written for an AI to read, screenshot beside each
One ticket per page for a template-level problem
One task per problem, listing every affected page
Status updated in two places, or not at all

How it works

4 steps, start to finish

  1. 1

    Install and connect

Install from the VS Code Marketplace or Open VSX, run “Dr Urls: Connect (sign in)” and approve in your browser — no key to copy.

  2. 2

    Sync

A .drurls folder appears: TASKS.md grouped by severity, one task file per problem with every affected page, and every capture with its screenshot.

  3. 3

    Fix with your agent

“Fix this task” and “Fix this capture” hand the work to Claude Code; the /drurls commands install with one command.

  4. 4

    Close it

Mark captures fixed or verified, verify fixed tasks, or run a new scan — and the dashboard updates for the team.

What you get

  • One markdown task per problem, not per page
  • Screenshots and console output next to the task
  • Tasks sent to GitHub issues, or added to CLAUDE.md / AGENTS.md
  • An audit of the codebase itself, from the Command Palette

Who it's for

  • Developers

Work the backlog without leaving the editor.

  • Teams using Claude Code

“Fix this task” starts the agent with everything it needs.

  • Cursor & Windsurf users

    Same extension, from Open VSX.

No surprises

Good to know

What it does not do, said up front.

  • It reads and writes a .drurls folder in your workspace; it does not edit your source files on its own.
  • The Claude Code commands need Claude Code installed.

FAQ

Questions

Does it work in Cursor or Windsurf?

Yes, through Open VSX, which Cursor, Windsurf and VSCodium install from.

Is my API key stored in the repo?

A local copy is kept in .drurls/.token, which is gitignored; the editor keeps the key in its own secret storage.
